DMRB CS 454 – Assessment of highway bridges and structures

The use of this document enables the structural safety and serviceability of highway bridges and structures to be assessed, providing key information that is required to manage risks and maintain a safe and operational network.
Some incremental changes have been made in version 1.1, some of which provide alignment with existing DMRB content that was previously within BD37 (withdrawn). There are some corrections that have been made, notably to the value of Cmin for assessment of masonry arches for abnormal loads, which is now consistent with the partial factors in Appendix A and previous practice as in BD86 (withdrawn).
